WHO IS SQOOTIE JACKSON?

New Jersey native, Sqootie Jackson, has been making music for over 13 years. The artist began her career singing in church choirs, and as she progressed, she began performing in plays at her school which shaped her talent and prepared her for what was to come. Down the line, Sqootie linked up with popular local hip hop artist Tab, and eventually participated in two bands together called "Traveling in Stereo" and "Basement Skylights". This is where she took her career to the next level. She credits her musical upbringing to the band and used the knowledge she learned to  branch off into a solo career. Whilst chasing her dreams, Sqootie understood that education is power, and decided to go to Bloomfield College to obtain her Bachelors degree in Creative Arts Technology.

Unbeknownst to her, this is where her first ep, "Purple Luv" would be born. The project was inspired simply by the cycle of love. Purple Luv will be re-released on Valentine's Day, just in time for all the lovers and friends to experience love through the lens of Sqootie Jackson.
